Surlie in Blue by RichardKnightly Surlie in Blue by RichardKnightly
One of my favourite models, Surlie, again from the Feterati Girls fashion show at the Montreal Fetish Weekend. A couple more of the set against white to finish off the set, then I have some some surprises in store :-D

Makeup by Sophie Brassard
Latex: La Perle Noir Latex
Shot at Blah blah studios in Montreal

This picture made me smile. I'm not sure why but it did. That shade of blue is lovely too.

I love the translucent look. The matching balloons are a nice touch, too!

I'm about to order another roll of white paper for my studio. Do you use paper, or vinyl for your white background? If you use paper, do you use the #50 or the super-white? I'm pretty sure my current stock is #50, and it works well. I was just wondering if I should try super-white, stick with what I know works, or upgrade to a vinyl background that would last longer?

I don't shoot stills in the studio that much, and when I do, I'm seldom making any money. My income is mostly from commercial video. So I hesitate to spend $150 to $200 for a vinyl background, but if it's really good and it lasts a long time, I might spring for it. Sometimes I use white for a video, also.

Thank you! This shot was actually in a studio in Montreal so the backdrop/cyc was wood, painted white. At home I use vinyl, which is good because you can wipe it clean (for most things, though heel marks can be tough) but as you say it's expensive. Ultimately I probably prefer it, but paper is a bit more flexible.
